Puisque son père refuse de donner sa bénédiction au couple et qu'il y a des conflits entre les deux familles, un incident fatidique force le jeune couple à fuir le seul endroit qu'ils reconnaissent comme étant la maison. Dans ce conte tragique d'amour, de perte et de réalisation, Willie Boy et Carlota se battent pour persévérer contre tous les obstacles devant eux.
